Hurricane! Seeing God in the Details of our and others' lives

Our first Caribbean hurricane was an adventure, and not unlike those we experienced in Japan and Virginia and a metaphor for light shining in darkness.

Therefore, hold up your light that it may shine unto the world. Behold, I am the light which ye shall hold up.  3 Nephi 18:24

Our four months on St Thomas and St John flew by in a whirlwind of visiting family, cherished friends, and a surprise call asking us to transfer to Dominica, which we accepted even though it meant leaving early. We're so grateful for the selfless service, humility, and faith we witnessed there, and we carry those lessons with us into our final six months serving in Dominica!

22 November 2025 - 15 January 2026 A December to Remember and Welcome 2026!

We're heading into the second half of our mission with a surprise transfer to Dominica on April 29, requested by President Horstmeier to keep supporting the island's growing momentum, and though it's bittersweet to leave the friendships we've built, we feel our first nine months prepared us for this next adventure. We continue to grow through the faith and stories of those we serve, the hardworking missionaries who inspire us daily, and the counsel from President and Sister Horstmeier to include the Lord in everything and trust the quiet impressions that guide us.
